@fancake love your choice of banner image for this months theme!

@Betty my default mode of typing is already pretty exclamation mark ridden so often i’m on the “okay not EVERY sentence needs to end with either an exclamation point or a question mark, periods are okay” side of things

re: alcohol

@wallhackio glad my intuition for your plots is on point

@Lady @aescling @wallhackio i feel like pawns are generally pretty safe in terms of base shape, if a bit…unfulfilling

@aescling @wallhackio @Lady i surprisingly large proportion of that is not even porn

@Lady @wallhackio @aescling the part æsc is eliding is that it is a strategy game you play because strategy games are fun so the dialogue is just bonus fluff between the actual main content, which is the strategy

@Lady ban and bann are related to boon and not bonus which makes sense once u know about the rest of this

@njion interesting! i imagine it produces a much cooler foam than a traditional steam wand, since all the air you are adding is room temp

i’ve used similar hacks to whip cream so i suppose it logically makes sense it works for milk foaming also but i’d never considered it

@njion okay tell me more about your french press milk foaming technique! i’ve never heard of this one

food terminology

@rabbithearth spuds are potatoes in our dialect and i am also familiar with fried cornmeal balls being called hushpuppies, so i would assume it was a similar dish but made with potato instead of corn? but i’ve never actually heard it used that i can recall

@soph_sol @kate yeah it’s difficult to find r-values for non-construction materials but wikipedia cites cotton batting insulation as having an r-value of 3.7 per inch which is roughly concordant with the r-values this quilter provided: quilting-tidbits.com/the-ultim

no idea what one needs as a minimum r-value for a trivet tho so i’ll leave that part of the math to you 😅

@vaporeon_ @aescling @wallhackio huh that is not the belief system i would have pegged you as

@infernusgoatus looks like some sort of bagworm moth, they’re known for building their cocoons out of plant matter like that
