@ryfulets @soph_sol @villainousfriend this is such a fantastic character that i’m tempted to steal it for my own but i’ll endeavor to come up with something original

possibly i help run the inn outside the capitol proper that the main characters improbably end up staying at every time they have to leave the city for plot reasons. Eventually it’s revealed that I’m one of the many people who’s been recruited to the courts information network, which is run by a eunuch who is excessively loyal to the xth prince, our dramas hero because during one such stay I pass on a key message necessary to avert an assassination attempt on said prince
