re: critique of critiques of princess narratives

@Lady @aschmitz yeah i got the alliance with the proletariat bit i just didnt see why either of them have to be nobility

re: critique of critiques of princess narratives

@Lady @aschmitz in tangled’s case specifically i do think they could have just skipped the princess bit and it would have worked just as well. She is notably *not* a princess in most versions of rapunzel but rather the child of a poor couple coerced into an unreasonable bargain. Her rescuer is often a prince (and thus if she marries him she marries into royalty) but that identity is more or less irrelevant to the plot save for the association between royalty and hunting and thus having reasons to be wandering forests

@aescling i guess the majority of your followers do not know about baby salamanders?

food

@pamela we had to make an emergency second batch of cranberry sauce yesterday

brain noise, genitals

@ljwrites if you want to rec a dick every day for december, i will salute you 😂

#food vegetarian but not vegan

@AspiringLuddite that sounds delicious

@wallhackio have you thought about going somewhere else for the holidays next time

food, meat

@pamela theres something very odd about the fact that we can now get highly seasonal goods like raspberries pretty much year round (if at a serious premium) and then turn around and go “nah actually we’re only selling these shelf stable canned goods for one week out of the year”

@platypus we got a solid half hour of conversation out of this at the neighborhood bonfire lmao

@aescling @wallhackio @Lady i am reasonably certain you graduated a while ago now

@rowyn it was an interesting story! i’m glad you managed to fit it in
