re: self‐harm

@Satsuma i don’t think anyone will ever phrase a self‐harm question in a way that i will like though; i think the question of “harm” is very mired in questions of normative expectations / assumptions / being a productive citizen

re: self‐harm

@Satsuma i would be hesitant saying “most people” there; some people very intentionally DO get tattoos because it is a socially‐acceptable form of self‐injury

probably not “most” people who get tattoos but it’s not uncommon

self‐harm

@Satsuma « Have you ever had thoughts of purposely hurting yourself without wanting to die » they could really stand to clarify this question. do sports count? what about tattooing? what about painplay?

do you actually get meaningful information from questions this vague

god don’t ask me my approach to non‐monogamy i just don’t like weddings okay

@Satsuma responding “N/A” regarding « Non-LGBTQIA+ friends »

@Satsuma also the categories are mildly confusing; the question is “how out are you?” but the response values are as if the question was instead “to how many people are you out?”

@Satsuma they should add a “i have no fucking clue” option to « D1. Which of the following best describes how "out" you are to various groups, about you being asexual or on the asexual spectrum? »

@Satsuma it’s a Mutant Standard emoji and i haven’t added any Mutant Standard emoji yet

@Satsuma « were you born with (or developed naturally in puberty) genitals, reproductive organs, and/or chromosomal patterns that do not fit standard definitions of male or female » if anyone answers something other than “Yes” or “Unsure” for this i have Questions

@Satsuma it gives differing results for “how many ace people are nonbinary” depending on whether they analyse B1 or B3 which makes me wonder why they included it in both places i mean really they were asking for this

@Satsuma because it’s blatantly contradictory?

@Satsuma will they get mad if i select Non‐binary in « B1. Which (if any) of the following words would you use to describe your gender identity? » but then answer No for « B3. Do you identify as non-binary or consider yourself to be part of the non-binary umbrella? »

@Satsuma why do they have a separate field for specifying race in your own words but not gender

@Satsuma yeah but not like, places that actually care
