every time i run my shortcut the app just goes to the beach for a full thirty seconds which is not making it easy to actually test it out
i do not think this is a problem with the shortcut itself; i think the editing UI just simply overloads itself
@coriander indie apps made by hobbiest developers are usually pretty good at not shipping updates until they are sure they didn’t break anything, which i gotta tell you is not a mentality shared by major corporations
whoever converted this to Liquid Glass did, i think, a very bad job of it
i regret to inform that Apple Shortcuts is still a useful technology buried within a very bad app

@wallhackio @coriander like i do not think the anime thinks Light is tragic or corrupted by power. it thinks he was born evil and just got lucky for a bit, and then at the end his luck runs out
@wallhackio @coriander i think the anime retcons Light as having undergone a progression; once he loses his memories he is like very clearly a different dude than before, even tho you don’t notice the progression when it happens the first time
but also L does say straight to Light’s face “yeah i always thought you had serial killer energy”; i think it’s pretty clear that the Death Note did not make him a killer it just gave him means

@alyssa the message of the film can be roughly summed up as “humanity is good because it is scrappy and diverse, and america is good because it is the most scrappy and the most diverse”
the first part is true and the second part is not true but there are worse things to have national pride over
@alyssa independence day tries very hard not to be xenophobic (the aliens are bad because they are fascists not because they are aliens) altho it does have a shot of 90s optimism that maybe in the face of a big enough crisis israel and palestine would just set aside their differences and get along
i don¦t know who john blowe is but i salute him 🫡
