@alyssa yeah -ing is one of the things which gave me the most trouble when i was researching phonetic spellings of english because it varies a fair bit and then beyond that is often reduced
@alyssa * /eɪ/ i got my long vowels confused
@alyssa oh that’s british in american english they’re probably /aɪ/ (due to the Mary~marry~merry merger i think)
@alyssa /i/
@Satsuma @wallhackio i will go first if you don’t
@coriander i’m taking recommendations
@coriander need to read up on my bolshevik history so i can write appropriate fan fiction
@kit yeah i would be into it also; i’m playing Engage right now (which is very unserious) and it would be fun to see some of the better characters isekai’d into a more interesting and serious plot
@kit typically they can’t go in that direction because the serious plots are always incredibly region-specific and aren’t amenable to plucking characters from other nations and time periods
some fire emblem games are about the complexities of war and the difficulty of righteous struggle and some fire emblem games are about cute dweebs bumbling around with swords and when they port characters from the first genre into the second, adjustments are made
ppl love to be like “they made this fire emblem girl into a waifu!” but they also made all the fire emblem boys into husbandos 100%
