Don’t whine, Arcanine!

“they don’t need to make the games more expensive, they are just doing it because they can” welcome to capitalist economics brother, this is literally the law of supply and demand

joke re: It’s been fun, Dachsbun!

@alyssa yeah you do have to get through the first arc before you realize that ocarina of time is actually about an apocalypse lol whereas with majora's mask it's kind of in the beginning

joke re: It’s been fun, Dachsbun!

@alyssa wind waker is definitely more optimistic and i can't tell if that means it's not dark or not

(ocarina of time is a darker game than majora's mask and most people who have played the latter played the former first)

It’s been fun, Dachsbun!

you can tell whether a gamer has media comprehension based on whether or not they think Majora’s Mask is the darkest Zelda game

Listen to this, Fomantis!

wolf alice morning today i guess

How do you do, Budew?

ugh i came up with a really interesting scenario for a story but i don't think it works at all for the story i was wanting to write

That’s what I thought, Pidgeot!

re: unicode

@narylis specifically i think gaming and “metaverse” tech companies have been using it to identify themselves as “new tech” or “new social” in contrast to the traditional blue of facebook/twitter/tumblr/“old fashioned” social spaces

then everybody wanted in on that association and it has spread from there

re: unicode

@narylis « Historically, purple has been underutilized commercially, treated as more of a supplemental, niche color. Though that’s changing, as technology companies have embraced it to stand out from the crowd — with Roku and Twitch both using it in their branding and logos. The growing trend left Brenda Milis, Adobe Stock’s principal of consumer and creative insights, seeing purple — everywhere. “A lot of brands began releasing purple app icons. It developed into a trend as a very blue-inflected purple — often referred to as 'blurple' — began to dominate online spaces through 2021. There's a warmth to it, so it offers a sense of comfort. It's not hitting you over the head with a strident tone.” » blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2022

i mean it's better than the time when it was the red styling with the purple logo and clashed horribly but

changed the colour of the document registry to match their new purple branding instead of their old red branding and i’m not into it

@hazel why does this poll only have one option (not counting spiderman)

time loop

suppose the inventors of porygon designed it based on professor laventon’s descriptions

@gaditb that's one of the reasons why i rec it; in addition to being about the racial and class politics of transgender identity it also has some very good words about how to do ethnography with marginalized queer communities to which you do not belong
