@blakasmoko yeah it being called official is a little misleading bc unlike w/proprietary software like twitter theres nothing that makes the “official” mastodon app any more integrated than the “third party” apps — it uses the exact same API the 3rd party apps do with no extra permissions or anything. It just happens to be developed by people who have the right to use the branding
