@pastelsinmysky kinda reminds me of how people will take the mere knowledge of you being vegetarian as an invitation to expound at length about their own feelings about eating meat

@The_T sourdough is only a little trickier than regular bread except you need to keep a starter fed which is kinda a pain if you dont make bread often enough.

@The_T if you enjoy how it tastes fresh i’d just make croutons / bread crumbs with the stale bits tho tbh

@The_T there’s a lot of reasons bread might go stale too quickly so its hard to say why!

if you’ve done everything right but want it to stay fresh longer, sourdough is traditionally thought to go stale slower than yeasted bread, or else you’ll want to add a gelling/emulsifying agent like pectin or lecithin. or you can make tangzhong, which would certainly justify the thermometer lol

@The_T its nice for unfamiliar recipes where you don’t know how it looks when its done, or if your oven is being kinda sus
