Genderbend (ATLA) internalized transphobia?

@xieliansbignaturals transfemme Sokka meanwhile accidentally cracked her own egg by committing to a bit wayyy too hard and so it took everyone like six months to figure out she was a girl and not just weirdly committed to this running joke but despite this has never once doubted her gender (Katara has sibling comparison feels about all of this of course)

Genderbend (ATLA) internalized transphobia?

@xieliansbignaturals Katara has big “waking up at 2 am like ‘but am i REALLY transmasc or do i just have trauma from being momified at 7’ “ vibes (he’s 100% transmasc and also has trauma from momming a bunch of only slightly younger kids whilst also being a kid during a war)

grumbling, transphobic rhetoric

@akjcv why do trust these peoples judgement more than your own?

re: white guy talking about racism on tv

@hex you’re correct, fandom just doesn’t give half as much of a shit about racism as they do about not getting to see their blorbos kiss

@RussSharek wiscon has since switched to a fully online format, but their 2023 COVID prevention guidelines were fairly effective: wiscon.net/2023/07/24/wiscon-2

@kiesa yeah i’m not an expert but my understanding is its not too different from visual reading speeds in that it varies from person to person but is generally much faster than normal speech even for slower readers
