@pamela @pagrus milkweed is pretty low maintenance once its established, and then you can just bring leaves inside with eggs on them and get weeks of caterpillar watching entertainment!

if you wanna be really fancy theres a citizen science org that will send you wing tags, so you can find out where your monarchs are migrating to

@pamela @pagrus my mother would also like to suggest adding monarch butterfly release party to the summer holiday calendar

@stelepami NBA rules is 7 per team per game, but only 4 of which can be used in the 4th quarter so if they haven’t already used 3 the total will be lower. Overtime gives each team an extra 2 (per overtime, I think?)

ran into a hate crime, luds

@Betty ugh that sucks

@Lady u can have them and i’ll keep the ginger candies

@sunflower_avenue if you’re comfortable self hosting, my girlfriend has some recs (she writes open source code for libraries) but nothing that offers free hosting already, and i suspect that’s a little more involved than you are looking for?

a bookmarking software like raindrop.io does most of what you want for free, but you’d need to find somewhere else to put the files elsewhere and link back (anywhere that lets you publicly host files would work eg. mega.io or whatever)

@platypus ah its hard to judge height from photos, so i could be wrong! but i have seen some crabapples that are much taller than i expect from apple trees, and everything else seems about right

@Lady my app is not great at responding to deletes

@Lady take so good u had to put it on both accounts?

@Betty its not just grass, they forage for seeds, and hunt insects and small fish also. But yeah it still doesn’t seem like it should be quite enough food

@rowyn and Magnus wouldn’t have suggested Cassie make it if he wasn’t at least a bit fond of Umbral either!

@AspiringLuddite @Steveg58 i’ve heard cheesemakers say that ultra-pasteurized milk doesn’t make curds properly & you have to look for flash pasteurized instead—maybe its a similar issue?

@rowyn cassie pondering when things changed, only to get distracted by magnuslet, evidence that at least some parts of that change were a while ago
