@Betty @ryfulets “you get transmigrated into icelandic dracula” would be SUCH a book though

@varve @Anke yeah thats what i was trying to refer to! sometimes with variegated yarns the different bits of a particular color stay very disconnected from each other while other times they line up/are adjacent and those two types of variegation tend to have very different effects visually.

@aescling @Lady really what you want are volcarona but its annoyingly hard to get larvesta so i dont have any

@Lady @aescling sneasler is worse than several actual bug types, so I’d probably go fur vikavolt or yanmega furst

@Gemma i did not, probably in part because my older sibling was very embarrassed to learn that the “chaos” they were familiar with from reading was in fact the same word as the “kayoss” they were familiar with hearing, so I was offered the corrective from them before I could make my own similar mistake 😂

@Anke the color runs (is thwt the right word?) caused by the variegations in the yarn looks so cool! and i’m sure the finished sweater will be very cozy to wear too

@kevinkevinson @asya @screamlet_ you can always watch them twice, once as they come out and then a second time as a full film?

@stelepami wow its really coming along! and looks great too

@being I guess rest of world technically also includes the polar research stations 😂

Also unsure where to put the Caribbean islands in this weird classification system—are we splitting the predominantly english/french countries up into north American while the Spanish speaking ones go in Latin America? Grouping them all in “rest of world”??

@being *facepalm* there sure were some choices made there

@ljwrites @rowyn yeah it was in a convo about character death that feels truly meaningful so i don’t think they shy away from the tragic aspects! it seems like a really interesting premise though—so often these kinds of relationships get explored primarily through the human (aka shorter lived) perspective, or its all just handwaved for the sake of romance

@rowyn @ljwrites I haven’t seen it, but someone recently recced me Frieren (which i think was a manga and then adapted into an anime?) which seems to hit some similar notes — main character is an elf who’s loved and lost several adventuring parties from what i understand

@gnomon washington dc or state? or of the washington clan?

superhero movies

@alyssa wait really?? 😬

nif ep8

@lirazel aahhh yes that one! I think its just sorta *handwaving* “he has a big information network!” but its been a bit
