@coriander ok but like the term “games journalism” is just meant to signify the video games version of Pitchfork or Entertainment Tonight
nobody takes any other mediums version of this seriously i don’t understand why gamers think it is important
@skye this is also my complaint with them. on top of needing an ISO layout i need the ability to modify the values returned by the keys & need more than just the two default keyboard levels (i·e altGr and not just Shift), because i use a custom keyboard layout. every one of these devices i have encountered has said, at best, “we support one of these 15 keyboard layouts and message us if you want more”. i am not messaging them about a keyboard layout that has 1 user in the entire world. just let me define it myself in software

@chatteringcrowteeth you deserve to be able to engage with your family on your own terms and only when you want to. you are not obligated to revisit all of your complicated feelings every time you vote or cash a check
if you feel like reclaiming it later in limited circumstances then you will always have the freedom to do so, but i think it feels a lot better when that is a choice you make and not an obligation or default
sometimes i share links with my friends in a groupchat and they are just like “why did you send me that link”. uh what??? i did it because???
