@wallhackio @Satsuma @aescling i’m not super thirsty but i’m dtf like 90% of the time
@aescling i mean it IS a springtime pokémon it’s just also a love pokémon hence the pun
@aescling did you also forget latin
@aescling enamorus is the love-hate pokémon who appears in the lengthening days of late winter / early spring; of course “longing” is a pun
@aescling i am amazed that i said “my avi is literally enamorus the springtime pokémon” and you just accepted that
@aescling it’s a shame words can’t have multiple simultaneous meanings or i would probably be pulling your leg by emphasizing one at the exclusion of the other
@aescling my avi is literally enamorus the springtime pokémon
@aescling actually it’s the days getting longer but ok
@aescling @wallhackio @coriander bitches hate the light; only dark type pokémon for bitches
@aescling @wallhackio @coriander why did they put absol in death note
@alyssa “hoodwinking” has it in non-accented, non-final position (in addition to it in final position in the following syllable); seems like a candidate? i think i still say it /i/ there tho
@alyssa yeah -ing is one of the things which gave me the most trouble when i was researching phonetic spellings of english because it varies a fair bit and then beyond that is often reduced
@alyssa * /eɪ/ i got my long vowels confused
@alyssa oh that’s british in american english they’re probably /aɪ/ (due to the Mary~marry~merry merger i think)
@alyssa /i/
