my second, possibly even more contentious take is that being anti‐critic is bad
*stares pointedly at all visual novels and games with branching paths or secret endings*
one of my more contentious takes is that if you make a video game with hidden content and you do not provide easy mechanisms for people to access that hidden content then you are anti‐critic

@monorail i use both styles but i pretty much only use the capitalized and perioded one for things with like, paragraphs
with lowercase style i generally make every sentence its own paragraph; if i'm going to stick three or more sentences in the same paragraph my brain starts inserting capitals
@codl that’s not the current character folding practices (that technical report was withdrawn and never made it out of the “draft stage”)
for identifiers and such, case folding is a core part of the standard defined in CaseFolding.txt and section 5.18 here: https://www.unicode.org/versions/latest/ch05.pdf
for other string comparison operations, including removal of accents, that’s defined as a part of CLDR (which, if you thought the ordinary unicode website was hard to navigate… the CLDR website is even worse lmao)
@Satsuma yeah that’s what i did on my website in 2018, although i also had Atom (and JSON!!) feeds that i kept updated so people could subscribe to it, but there wasn’t any like, way to view it as a blog in the browser
the setup i have now just renders the index of files on the left side of the screen and then has an <IFRAME> on the right side which loads the post, which is like, perfectly sufficient for blog purposes, even though i don’t think i’ve ever seen anyone take that approach in the past decade or so at least
