@aescling well in my case the enemy is the general inability to work for an organization in the united states from canada
@coriander there are two settingses because some people wanted different settings per device so that is those settings
@coriander it's the other settings (called app preferences, the multigear icon in the ui)
@witchfynder_finder tech execs be like "i woke up at 4am today and now that it is 10:30 i will eat a fillet-o-fish sandwich" sleep in losers
@witchfynder_finder the internet is telling me at least some locations do it till 11 but only on weekends; capitalism strikes again
@witchfynder_finder i thought you could order breakfast all day now did they stop allowing that
@witchfynder_finder 11 is what i remember from being a kid
(it weights these so that the lowest is 0% but i'll have you know the next highest is 24.5% so it's still funny)
@aescling i think the thing is that you can't write a quiz about what needs to be done unless you are willing to assert what material conditions are, which is beyond the limits of the imagined neutrality of most of these quiz authors
@aescling like there are real questions for leftism today but i think they are like:
- do you think the path to socialism will be straight or winding?
- do you think strategic alliances with the national-bourgeoisie are necessary or problematic?
- is it more important to prioritize sovereignty or conservation of necessary resources?
- can the law be used to fight capital?
- right now, are centralized or decentralized approaches to organizing more effective (regardless of what your ideal socialized state would look like)?
- can we accommodate people who are not labourers into our activism prior to the establishment of a socialist form of government, or is a labour focus necessary in order to seize power?
- should we target media or should we ignore media?
@aescling i think a marxist would not write a quiz to determine your values and ideals but rather would write a quiz do determine what it is you think should be done
@aescling really a lot of focus on ideal states and value judgments not practical pragmatic solutions to existing problems and material conditions which tells me this quiz was not written by a marxist
Administrator / Public Relations for GlitchCat. Not actually glitchy, nor a cat. I wrote the rules for this instance.
