love it when i open the book to the first page and it is 27 lines of annotation for 4 lines of text
the former is a very usable gaming laptop (well, the keyboard is wearing out) but it is basically always hot and loud
loud laptop is an original first-generation retina macbook pro running bootcamp and streaming laptop is an M1
i'm currently streaming to my girlfriend using a convoluted setup involving two laptops and a capture card because the fans are too loud on my laptop running windows to actually be remotely feasible for streaming
not everything in life exists on a binary of rationality 🆚 absurdity
not everything true is serious or important and not everything false is innocuous or for pleasure
americans really will be like “are they serious or is this a joke” as though those are the only two options
@aescling what i will point out in all of this is that sexuality is the root of sex (in driver's license terms in addition to sexual practice)
@aescling i will say that simply wanting to be a beautiful woman definitely CAN be sexual; trans girl diaries (albeit not mine) are replete with stories of putting on a dress and makeup and masturbating in front of the mirror
@aescling i feel like you might be conflating sexuality and sexual practice; to me the former is a much more nebulous term which does not necessarily have to manifest at all in a desire for the latter
it's hard for me to describe what i DO mean by it though. i've probably read too much freudian psychoanalysis…
