@monorail ssbu is a scrappy, wacky game with a complicated game state that is hard to read properly, and so many characters have really really really good mashy, safe, combo-starting aerials like melee fox nair that is often a better use of your focus to just threaten your combos.

obviously at a high level this isn't enough but when you're first getting into the game being mashy is a good way to start
