Magical Girl Mechanical Heart is a web novel about a depressed trans girl who gets turned into an enslaved magical robot by a weird monster woman. Downside: lack of freedom, forced to fight the magical girls who defend the Earth, lost contact with her best friend; upside: much happier with new robot body, much happier with new robot mind without executive dysfunction and with better emotional regulation. It is also about a magical girls who is plural and doesn't understand why their friends get so concerned when she mentions relatable facts like not having any memories of her childhood.

It is also about the other people who try to make the lives of these girls better. It is also about the mysterious history of the fragmented universe which threatens the Earth and the strange beings which grant human children the power to defend against that threat.
