a downside of reading recent lesbian romances is that writing enjoyable books and thinking "women and nonbinary people" is a natural class are not necessarily anti-correlated

also all the other military orders but yk if it weren't for the fash winning the civil war the spanish ones could maybe have stayed dissolved

kinda fucked up that the the spanish military orders still exist.

i enjoyed metropolis but it has a lot of flaws as a film.

food

this year we were able to obtain a vegan pan dulce so i finally get to try it :>

food

@Satsuma also simply essential in an argentinian bakery hehe

i sometimes forget that local terminology is not ubiquitously known. i did at least manage to consider that calling them facturas instead of pastries would probably be confusing hehe.

food

@Satsuma yup. or a type thereof anyway. very classic pastry for breakfast or merienda here.

food

@Satsuma yeah! tho it was a bit busy? like lots of little seeds and nuts that imo it would have been better off without. but still v tasty. sofi liked the mini fruit pie she got (fewer options sin TACC). and we also got some medialunas which are a bit on the small side but v tasty.

food

@Satsuma neat. it is v common here. we got some pastries from a vegan bakery today (due to ML having a 7k discount on first order from their food ordering thing) and i went with basically sort of a cinnamon roll but with dulce de membrillo instead of cinnamon.

food

@Satsuma i still don’t have a clue what they even look like. but fortunately i probably wouldn’t just try to eat an unknown fruit or vegetable without further investigation anyway.

food

it's kinda fun that a fruit that i otherwise only know of from mentions in like, british television shows, i ate for the first time here and actually fairly frequently (well, things made from it)

quince/membrillo

an important aspect of language learning is encountering terms that sound ridiculous, realizing that they're basically identical to the equivalent in your native language, and therefore realizing how silly your native language is

@wallhackio rope

rope (this is how many times you should watch it even if you've already seen it)

strange magic (not sure i'd say it's a good movie but it was for a while my favorite movie)

viviposting

tonight vivi managed to turn the water of the bathroom sink on for the first time

we suspect this was accidental but are not certain

viviposting

i think vivi has learned to recognize sofi’s “feed vivi” alarm. and specifically that one, not any other alarm she has with the same sound but at different times.
