@Satsuma @wallhackio you can often avoid having to do that kind of things, but it takes pretty dedicated skill specialization alongside taking advantage of an obscure mechanic that it would be really unnatural to discover without someone telling you about it

@coriander an old convention in unix land was to make the most recent text selection with the mouse automatically get copied, which has the incidental side effect of visually indicating exactly what you copied, and that you copied at all. some terminal emulators still retain this behavior
but fur some goddamn fuckass reason the text selection based clipboard and ctrl-c based clipboards use sepurrate clipboards
