@elena idk it feels unfair to blame gen z for that when really its their boomer bosses who made those decisions

@elena i do think part of the problem here is that we’ve just totally forgotten about job training, as a society. it used to be when you got hired you’d follow around some more senior waitstaff while they explained all this to you

@noracodes i haven’t tried soylent so i can’t compare directly, but my preferred option is ensure

@jadedofmara not a windows user so i can’t help but that sounds absolutely nightmarish, i hope you can fix it soon

@pastelsinmysky yeah its really awful :/

gambling regulations are very hot topic in pennysylvania right now because we’ve got an ongoing court case / legislative situation about whether or not “skill game” kiosks should be regulated like slot machines. i am very much in favor of banning as much as possible, they all seem so exploitative and gross

@phette23 that circuit board quilt is such a fascinating piece! cutting the circuit boards that precisely seems super difficult

@pastelsinmysky we have *really* gotta ban betting app ads

i mean also the apps themselves are evil and should be banned. but if we can’t do that can we please at least make it like cigs where you can’t advertise

@secretasianman the natural parsing to me would be that the Nazi’s invading the Soviet Union was what killed her hope (and thus is a bad thing) and she had only felt hope before that when things were better

@brie i’m glad you’ll have some help!

@brie good luck with the move! packing is always such a trial

@SportsGoblin @Lady presumably some people do not know about the cowboys, which is a prerequisite

@alis this is true! and geographical distance means its pretty unlikely your lavender is going to be an issue so i’ll give you a pass lol

@alis i was with you until you said lavender which, unfortunately, gives me awful headaches
