@vaporeon_ @wallhackio its just a piece of paper that says “no idea where this egg came from but it was found in [pokemon daycare] in [parent pokemon name]’s possession”

@trashguts 2 minutes in and we’re already arguing over the meaning of geometry vs algebra, good job 😂

@maddy in general, and Star Trek show will assume you havent seen too much of the other star trek shows, so you can start wherever interests you most pretty safely

that said, i do have a particular soft spot for the original series so i hope you get to it at some point in your viewing process :)

re: food

@wallhackio @aschmitz @aescling yes that is in food preservation along with canning, pickling, and fermentation

re: food

@aschmitz @aescling @wallhackio the four things: baking, cooking, drink making, and food preservation

re: food

@aescling @wallhackio @aschmitz i mean probably these are both secret third things but if i have to choose between cooking and baking they are definitely not baking

re: food

@wallhackio @aschmitz @aescling hot chocolate is literally just making soup?

@aschmitz @wallhackio i am a little surprised you think both pizza and hot chocolate are baking. Like i can see arguments for either but mostly in ways which preclude the other from being baking

@SocialGaff definitely in the “i post really infrequently” caveat club but my blog does have rss: satsuma.dreamwidth.org

@ehyde ao3 but its original fiction superheroes, i found it super delightful: archiveofourown.org/works/2908

food

@alyssa haha i was like “half moon? hmmm” and looked it up and got a results for chilean rodeos. fortunately the wikipedia disambig came through 😂

croissants are a great way to taste a new bakeries skill

food

@alyssa ah yeah sometimes something more straightforward is better to showcase the flavors

medialunas are croissants?

food

@alyssa ooh that sounds delicious :)

food

@alyssa kinda like giant, oddly knobbly, apples tbh — they are close relatives

i’ve only had quince things a small handful of times but we DID buy some to make quince paste once when I was a kid—I remember being baffled bc the flesh is white but then it magically turns rose colored as it cooks! (nashi pears also do this)

food

@alyssa yeah probably don’t eat quince raw! but it sure is tasty
