@soph_sol @xieliansbignaturals Lan Qiren got a sect dropped on his head by his brother AND single parented both of his nephews with seemingly no support! and then he has to teach all the other clans kids in their most troublesome teenage years too?? He clearly loves & is dedicated to all of these jobs which is whats kept him at it for two decades going but also that is way too many jobs for one man and he deserves a break
@soph_sol @xieliansbignaturals NMJ’s sect is entire vibe is working thru chronic health issues so hard that the burnout literally kills you imo
@wallhackio @aescling it’s very watchable imo and i think you would enjoy it regardless (it is prob on netflix?) but me trying to go “okay but THIS martial arts movie has better and more subtle camerawork and fight choreo than any of the others” is meaningless if you don’t particularly care about fight choreo

when we got back from vacation last week, we discovered the cherry tree we were expecting to have been completely picked over by the time we returned was still mostly full of fruit because a catbird had been territorially chasing all the other birds off—he did not appreciate our thanks for his services as we picked the cherries ourselves 😂

@alis they’ve revamped the early game to be much more structured and well signposted in the last 15 years, which hopefully will help you with your quest to get back in to things!
