@MissConstrue goldenrod! would need a better look at the leaves to know which one, but there’s many goldenrods which are native to north america so if its shown up in your yard randomly i’d assume it’s one of the native ones

please ignore anyone telling you it’s an allergen — that’s an urban legend based on the fact that it blooms at the same time as ragweed, which many people are allergic to. as a general rule of thumb most of the bad allergy plants are wind pollinated (which is why they’re putting so much pollen in the air) so you wont see a ton of pollinators on them

@apprendere oooh those pieces are both lovely! sounds like a fun research dive

@apprendere yeah i mean, the fact that we’re naming the aesthetic after a japanese animation style is maaaaybe a sign that the west did not in fact invent said aesthetic & the whole thing is just appropriation

but like you i’m not really knowledgable enough to talk about the history of the style past that point

@rowyn this one would definitely freak me out too tbf — no one likes to loose their companions / get lost themselves while they’re asleep and can’t even do anything about it!

@pastelsinmysky i’ll be interested to know what you think once you’ve had a chance to try it’s advice!

@pastelsinmysky oh wow that seems extremely useful

@gnomon yikes! glad you’re ok and that the bike mostly is too

@transfemwulian kind of amused by the idea of them somehow having *exactly* the same hair length

@Breakfast it’s not unusual for them to be a little short, but also how much they’re switching horizontally impacts how much they can stretch vertically so going a size further up than you actually need can help

@imp block worthy name, honestly

@SocialGaff very interested in seeing this once its done! i’ve mostly just figured out which ones work via trial and error rather than actually systematically mathing out the electrolyte levels

@DCBookstoPrisons i mean i think what i interpret it as is less important than what your intent for sharing the image is? are you trying to evoke the feeling of police tape or ribbons?

@imp ehhh i mean. it’s basically beat for beat what Cassandra Claire did, down to the absurdly long fics full of patchwork plagiarism & somehow getting a book deal out of it anyway

@brainwane are we counting train kitchen cutlery as in motion or does in motion specifically require being in motion relative to its surroundings?

@rowyn i guess house had some opinions about the sleeping arrangements?
