@Quasit you should water until the soil is fully saturated (aka, water is coming out the bottom of the pots) and water whenever to top inch-ish of soil feels dry. how often “top inch of soil feels dry” happens will depend on the weather, and the soil:plant ratio

@kate alas yeah butter tarts does feel like something where using the good butter is key

@pho4cexa 3 houses is probably the mainstream starting point—it’s also getting a sequel in September which will probably give its ao3 cred a boost.

if you like game boy advance games Sacred Stones and Fire Emblem (called by its JP title Blazing Blade by fans) are both free on the Nintendo Switch’s gba emulator (and easily available on any other gba emulator one might have access to)

@pho4cexa I would like to take this opportunity to recommend you play Fire Emblem which is like 50 works short of six digits and also a series with many enjoyable games

(the tag for the sonic games series has 12,083 works, for comparison)

@pho4cexa kind of irritating to get this information so i can’t give you a full top 10 but the only video games with 6 digits worth of works are:
Dragon Age (104,044)
Genshin Impact (243,443)
Minecraft (116,864)

@moonsea oof thats frustrating! by the time i bought mine they were already on 1.3 so hopefully i wont run into this when i have to upgrade 😅

@platypus that sounds terrifying! glad you were able to get out of the situation without *actually* getting hit

@rigormorphis not sure this person understands social constructs if they think this is something one can prove via research??

@rigormorphis theres a podcast i listen to where the guy pronounces kings like kee-ings and every time my brain just goes ?!??!

@hoja that makes sense, if the merchants are dead they can’t pay u

@The_T yeah borrowing loanwords is a very messy process! you get all sorts of weird doublets and calques and words that are borrowed to mean something completely different than their original meaning

@The_T i am a satsuma tangerine, so named because they were originally exported to Europe from a port in the satsuma province of Japan (now part of Kagoshima), which stamped the crates thusly

i didn’t know there was also a satsuma sweet potato but given yams are popular in japan i assume it also originates from satsuma?

@The_T fortunately one can post terrible comics on any day of the year so you don’t have to miss out

@GracelessHippo we had hummus & goat cheese w/chopped veggies (carrots, cucumber, radishes, etc) for dinner last night

technically not no cooking since i used dried chickpeas, but if you used canned you just need a blender/food processor and don’t have to use the stove at all (or you can do what i did and just do it in the evening when its less hot, since you’re serving it cold)

@rigormorphis i dont think its receiving the degree so much as med school being a total institution
