@platypus as opposed to the other PA dialect which says berry and cherry like bury 😂

food +

@RussSharek if you have a functional oven, cut it in half, scoop out the seeds (optional but recommended: make baked pumpkin seeds with the seeds) and then bake one or both halves cut side down on a cookie sheet for an hourish. until you pressing on the skin on the outside depresses easily

gently scoop out all your baked pumpkin flesh from the peel and mash it up. now you have the stuff to make many delicious treats which call for canned pumpkin/pumpkin puree like pumpkin quickbread or scones or nan gua bing! pumpkin puree also freezes excellently, so you don’t have to use up a whole giant pumpkins worth of pumpkin all at once

@Lady @aescling number of times in which i have seen furries do something real and physical to demonstrate their respect to animals: 0

@pamela napkin sounds weird but has a fairly sensible connection between meaning and etymology. Map on the other hand sounds totally reasonable but made a very odd semantic jump

@twistylittlepassages @raspberry yeah that part is not ideal! with acid free tape i was willing to make the tradeoff but ymmv

@purplecoww technically not a novel but a play, though the importance of being earnest’s script is incredibly readable and very funny on its own (it was written for amateur performance amongst friends and it also does excellently for that if you feel inspired to hop on a discord call with some friends or whatever)

@twistylittlepassages @raspberry yeah i have definitely torn the backs of some non-shiny papers that i hung with poster command hooks—my solution at the time was to start sticking some acid free scotch tape to the back of the paper first before putting the strips on which i recall working p well

@kelkyag @rowyn hee yeah i was just about to predict that also

@jemjabella @harrybo @platypus yeah obviously if that’s not an option on other operating systems then people should probably not be posting qr codes anyway. but i’ll admit i’d never considered that feature wasn’t standard, and i bet a lot of people posting qr codes are in the same boat haha

@jemjabella @harrybo @platypus iphones can use the built in reader from several apps including photos (which is where screenshots usually end up) & files (where photos go if i tap and hold to save). i just tested to double check and i can open qr’s in screenshots from both

Talking about nutrition (positive)

@xieliansbignaturals yay i’m glad they’re working for you!!

@pastelsinmysky sometimes one just doesnt have the energy to shop! or has other things one needs to spend that energy on! it happens its fine

@pastelsinmysky actually acquiring food is more important than the way you go about doing so imo
