knives and cutting boards are def both also important things to make a kitchen functional! I’ve got a magnet strip on the side of the fridge for the knives—tho I guess that might not work if yours has been encabneted? Never really had to think about that potential issue before haha

@being my kitchen is about that exact size/layout, but the location of the stove & sink are swapped and the sink is narrower so theres juuuust enough space to squeeze a drying rack between it in the fridge (and then have like one cutting board’s worth of counter between the sink and the stove

@sysadmin1138@octodon.social i think its a matter of scale? too much salt and nothing will grow, obviously, but when salt is scarce (as it very often was historically) access to salt could be literally lifesaving
