@pastelsinmysky the tree you arent sure of the name for might be a Japanese black pine / something similar? they naturally have a mildly zig-zag trunk that is often exaggerated by pruning / training in ornamental gardens….

i got lucky that when i first joined DW it was through cdrama fandom which is a bit less “good old days”-y than the rest of the site. Don’t know what i’d do otherwise bc i’m way too old to be figuring out all these new places spinning up 😆

@vicorva he’s not the only one! about 30% of cats don’t seem to have any response to catnip. there are some other plants which produce similar effects, if you think Merlin would like to try sometime—I’ve heard silvervine generally works well for non-nip responsive kitties
anyway, Merlin cuddling his spider friend is v cute :)
