@Azura@mastodon.technology *deep sigh*

lots of OSHA rules impact >84 mill Americans, 100+ employees is an unusually high cap for OSHA enforcement in my experience

Wordle 213 6/6*

@Sissas was your 2nd to last guess prose?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

@eldang CBT is a pretty broad umbrella so it’s hard to predict what any particular course/therapist means — I think if other people with ADHD like this course, then it’s probably well tailored to people with ADHD which’d be more helpful to you than my general experiences with CBT would be

@cassolotl@queer.party but also it’s very straightforward to convert tablespoons to ounces for butter so people who prefer weights (like myself) generally wont care about that one (2 tbs = 1 oz)

@cassolotl@queer.party 1) butter is generally sold in half cup sticks in the US
2) the sticks have little volume markers on the side for more complicated measurements!

Wordle 212 3/6*

@Sissas i looked it up after i sent that because i’d been given that info without a source and it looks like the people who like digging around in websites source code have indeed found this out!

They also apparently think my first guess is suboptimal lol notfunatparties.substack.com/p

Wordle 212 3/6*

@Sissas same!

wordle has separate lists for words they’ll accept and possible wins so I figured they’d accept it but i didn’t think there was any chance of it being the win

absurdle, the game is being kinda lewd

@eldang @compostablespork @antifuchs If you’ve gotten a word before, the same set of guesses will reliably produce the same result so i’m sure it’s theoretically possible?

eliminating all the vowels that aren’t in your target in your first few guesses would certainly tip the odds in your favor

@ljwrites my personal preference would be for a completely separate freeform tags field that's separate from the body of the post (like blogs have)

@Lady on the other hand, i saw a lot less proof that being spread out helps than i expected

@fribbledom well there’s a lot of ‘i’ve never heard of this novel and have no idea when it was published’ once you start getting too far in, but it’s an interesting game!

@Anke wordle is a game where you try to guess a secret word every day (everyone gets the same word) and it responds by coloring the letters with how close you are — grey means wrong letter, yellow means right letter but wrong place, and green is right letter right place

Since the words are universal, it’s considered spoilers to post your actual results, so people post abstractions with emoji that just show the feedback without telling anyone what their guesses are

@tozka esp considering that this is text, the glasses wont be in the way unless someone writes them to be that way

@tozka i think a lot of non-glasses wearers just assume that everyone is nearsighted, in which case taking your glasses off makes more sense?

Satsuma boosted

us, covid-19 resources

I don't know what the asterisks are going to be (besides stable address, obviously) or whether this is going to be more than a one-time "we did it, now shut up" blip in a long-term problem, but apparently the US government is planning to send out four rapid tests per household next week covidtests.gov/
