the social internet would be a lot better if instead of discord you just shared a link and it created a temporary chatroom that a handful of friends joined at the same time and chatted for an hour and then the whole thing closed permanently
it’s really easy to just not invite two people to your house at the same time but on the internet this is challenge level: impossible
