@wallhackio well then instead of writing elegant code to solve simple tractable problems you will probably be spending a lot of time trying to work against abstractions and constraints you have created for yourself

p·l·a is probably a good candidate for playing in a different language actually because the gameplay loop gives a lot more space between periods of dialogue

@Satsuma @calcifer and one should also note that the recent student protests at universities have actually been used by the right to enable increased surveillance and militarization and the defunding of education (which is not to say i do not support student protestors, but at the same time, it is not easy to say that these are simply inconveniences for the right, and not opportunities they are actively cashing in on)

@Satsuma @calcifer i recommend reading “I Was Wrong About Why Protests Work” https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/21/opinion/zeynep-tufekci-protests.html?unlocked_article_code=1.9k4.aMf3.gXSWtHohQ_wW&smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare (link should be unlocked) which makes this case citing the Iraq War protests as “historic” protests which actually did not accomplish anything, because Bush was able to effectively dismiss them as irrelevant. to turn the question on its head, if protests worked, people in power would not be ABLE to (successfully) discredit or downplay them; historically this was the case, but it likely hasn’t been so (in a United States context at least) since the turn of the millennium
