@artemis @noracodes more seriously, server administration is a trade, and it’s silly to think that anyone can start off well without talking to and learning from existing tradespeople
getting taken in by marketing copy does rather imply you are not speaking to a single human being who knows their stuff

@wallhackio @aescling also if you are using PostgreSQL, which you should be, the pronunciation doesn’t really make sense if you pronounce SQL “sequel”
@wallhackio @aescling in ruby a notable SQL library is named “Sequel” so sometimes you have to say “S·Q·L” to disambiguate
i’m just saying it would have been weird for this guy to write two different book duologies about lesbian avatars but nobody wants to read about them being straight
apparently yangchen does not do the romance which all things considered i think is the correct take
i finished the kyoshi books and now i need to get the yangchen ones
