even if we had magically cured covid i would still mask during cold & flu season it's fucking october

at some point your comic stops just being a no-COVID AU and becomes a “world which still doesn't know how respiratory illnesses work” AU

at some point artists are going to get over their personal reservations and just accept that some people are like this now, including probably members of their principal cast, but we aren't there yet

@Satsuma like it doesn't bother me that college students in DoA never mask because college students are terrible and it isn't really a realistic webcomic but you're trying to tell me Hannelore?? is just fine walking into a stranger's apartment without a mask on??

@Satsuma not all webcomics but QC is adult enough and slice of life enough that i expect people to take common-sense measures to protect each other’s health

at that point where i’m now bothered that the characters in QC aren’t wearing masks

@KitRedgrave a lot of people publish tweets under the name of poetry because there isn't a genre of literature for tweets but i still hold that they are different things

@djsundog i think decentralization has really strong advantages for content producers (musicians) in terms of agency and control, but it also can throw up barriers for content consumers (listeners) who don't want to have an account for every artist/label, or associated with any of them necessarily. i think it’s right to prioritize artists without compromise. but i’m also always thinking, are there ways we can let listeners have their more-centralized, social spaces of music sharing and discovery without infringing on artist agency?

@djsundog i’m interested in your long-term goal of “playlist support”: does this include third-party playlist services?? i’d be very interested in an open-source 8tracks that overlays on top of and links directly to musician storefronts, and i don't think this needs to be the same piece of software necessarily
