the key gimmick is after the first two gyms you decide whether you want to do the east half or the west half of the state, then once you beat the championship the routes open up to do the other one
the east half contrasts apocalyptic flooding in the past with contemporary irrigation and dam projects
the west half contrasts lush greenery and urban development with apocalyptic volcanism in the future
yes the legendaries are kyogre and groudon

@coriander i’m a half-orc Fighter / Cleric; the others are:
• Imoen because you might as well; i’m still debating whether or not i want to dual-class her to mage
• Garrick who currently is acting as my offensive mage in addition to being a bard
• Kivan who is honestly OP
• Rasaad who is extremely fragile but i think monks are cool so idc
• Xan who is mostly useless in a fight but whatever
people who i’ve removed from my party are:
• Kagain because he kept dying and I can tank pretty well myself
• Neera who I only let join because I didn’t have another mage at the time

i'm rolling with multiple characters that this walkthrough was like “you’re gonna have a bad time if you roll with these characters” with but we managed to survive cloakwood so i think we’re doing alright
