all of the fun weird stuff is in the Tera battles so like why would you ever catch the same pokémon twice

Show thread

my major criticism of pokémon scarlet violet so far is they didn't make the catching pokémon as fun as they have in previous games

@coriander yes if it was banks they wouldn't through all their stakes in with a transparently sketchy guy with transparently sketchy business practices??

pokemon sv, don't read this if you haven't faced a gym leader and do want to be surprised

@noelle yeah they introduced this originally in SwSh for the Dynamax segment (when the pokémon get Lorge the crowd starts chanting and it becomes an epic faceoff) but i think they did an even better job of it in Scarlet/Violet honestly (well, the Terra bit isn't quite as epic but the music transition is better)

the one thing i have learned from this FTX/crypto crash thing is that “zero trust” actually means “trust the wrong people”

TIL what triggers bonsly’s evolution

« The changes were occurring in a near total information vacuum internally, employees said. Twitter’s internal communications staff has been laid off or left, and workers said they were looking outward for information from media articles. Mr. Musk has increasingly downplayed the role of traditional media over the past few months, citing Twitter as one of the best platforms for the rise in “citizen journalism,” as he put it. » lmao NYT is salty

« The company had said on Thursday afternoon that it was closing “our office buildings” and disabling employee badge access until Monday. But in his emails on Friday, Mr. Musk appeared to want to talk to people in person at the company’s San Francisco offices. »

« Elon Musk sent a flurry of emails to Twitter employees on Friday morning with a plea.

“Anyone who actually writes software, please report to the 10th floor at 2 p.m. today,” he wrote in a two-paragraph message, which was viewed by The New York Times. “Thanks, Elon.”

About 30 minutes later, Mr. Musk sent another email saying he wanted to learn about Twitter’s “tech stack,” a term used to describe a company’s software and related systems. » tfw u haven’t learned about the tech stack yet and already fired all the workers

@coriander i mean i powered through it out of sheer Gay but

@coriander you get over it pretty fast once you actually hit the Game but yeah the beginning has real “i already graduated school like hell i want to go back” vibes

@00dani @coriander yeah it's disappointing

however there are WAY more face customization options

@coriander @00dani so like, all the things which aren't the school uniform you can customize, but you do have to wear the school uniform

@coriander @00dani backpacks, hair, socks, shoes, glasses, hat, gloves, phone case

@coriander this is how i was introduced to hbomberguy existing i just knew him as the toot person

“oh the toot person is playing beaver bother? ok”

every game which lets you customize your appearance should let you choose to wear glasses from the getgo
