my major criticism of pokémon scarlet violet so far is they didn't make the catching pokémon as fun as they have in previous games

all of the fun weird stuff is in the Tera battles so like why would you ever catch the same pokémon twice
@Lady I have two Growlithes because I thought I'd need a full team of fire pokemon to take on the grass leader 
@noelle i always end pokémon games with way too many pokémon so i'm really trying to show restraint with this one
this isn't EXACTLY true, like word is if you catch a bunch of pokémon in swarms it gives you extra shiny rolls, but it's more true than in SwSh where there were Brilliant Pokémon, or in games with a radar function / rustling grass, or so forth
