@Satsuma Psych, the YAML parser and emitter in Ruby, used for extremely important functionality in Ruby/Rails, is currently version 4.0.2.

Psych is essentially a wrapper for LibYAML.

The current release of LibYAML 0.2.5. The fact that the major version number of LibYAML is “0” implies that it is not a stable API or ready for production use.

hey ass hole, don’t release your library as version 3.0.0 when it has core functionality dependent on a version 0.2.5; that’s not stable

the answer is (a) no, and (b) i have now seen so many incorrect BCP‐47 tags

me: i wonder if programmers, noted for coming up with arbitrary bullshit standards and then adopting them for no reason other than that the person who wrote it is popular on twitter, have come up with a standardized way of encoding Pirate English

me, fifteen minutes later:

hi rails guides, this isn’t how this fucking works, thank you

@witchfynder_finder i think this has more to do with the millennials being old enough tbh

@witchfynder_finder in order to graduate from girl school you’re required to take at least 6 credits in hugs

@packetcat some of the best punk is pop punk or folk punk and haters can hate

music is about reaching people

@packetcat i think for good reason a lot of alternative music subcultures are very wary of mainstream music appropriating from them without contributing back to the scene, and unfortunately this sensitivity sometimes extends to people who genuinely are a part of the movement but just do things a little bit differently :Eevee_sad:

“their money’s like a B-boy stance: it stays froze”

@witchfynder_finder i think it's one of those books where like, the scenario holds a lot of truth, so directors have a lot of freedom to then go and take that scenario and say “this is good” or “this is bad” with it

@witchfynder_finder anyway that's something i absolutely would hope and expect a film adaptation to modernize, especially considering where film is at right now, so if you got those vibes that's probably a good thing
