@coriander if the kids made up the house rules: this is good, children learn through experimentation, let them discover how games work

if the adults made up the house rules: what are you doing. why

@coriander i think he likes being on a team where he can always be a hero and his bad days are just normal days for everyone else

@wallhackio now i am really curious how you would respond to My Little Monster

most games for children are primarily luck based so i am glad there is a game for children which just has broken strategic endstates they can experience and learn from

Monopoly is a broken, bad game, but it is very effective at teaching children how to break a bad game, i·e the first beginnings of strategy

@Satsuma i meant more the whole “cancelling city services instead of providing workers with protective gear” thing

what i am learning from all this smoke is that Philly does not know about N95s

@coriander i watched like half of it and it was fine; there are worse things to watch on youtube

@Satsuma @aschmitz yeah “being online" is arguably one even if “computers” more generally is not

the best computer people are not very online

@Satsuma no i have fixed my trauma, the problem is i have nowhere to go that isn’t full of traumatized or evil people unless i just, idk, find a better hobby??

help i have developed my identity around a hobby that only people who are either evil or traumatized do. now the only spaces i can go to talk about it are full of people who are either evil or traumatized. how do i fix this

today i opened my terminal and typed ‹ find . '!' '(' '(' -name '.?*' -o -name 'spec' ')' -a -prune ')' -a -name '*.rb' | xargs -E '' sed '/^ *\(#.*\)*$/d' | wc -l › and you’ll never guess why

sometimes you have to interact with a software you are NOT tech lead of and those be dire times

@SportsGoblin if Las Vegas doesn’t somehow sabotage it

@gaditb yeah a·i responds to the user in the first person which means i feel it would always be on the verge of slipping into those training weights if it misread its own context

a·i is worse at writing first person, right? it would have to be, right?

@coriander @wallhackio suppose you take a bite of your taco and are like “this shit needs acid” and you open up your fridge and there are no limes and no lemons but there is one bottle of heinz yellow mustard

do you do it
