might just open an issue linking the microformats wiki since that’s what they did for rel="me"
you could probably get an easy RFC writing credit specifying this if that’s something you want on your resume
“The "meta" link header is used to point to a resource which provides metadata about a thing. There are no constraints on the format of this metadata. Implementations MAY use content negotiation to allow clients to request metadata in a particular format.
Security Concerns: None, beyond those present in web linking in general.”
i’m not trying to turn a profit or get tenure i’m just a gay girl trying to describe her world, but it turns out the world has a lot of stuff which does not turn a profit or get you tenure

• skyward sword completely changed, and largely created anew from whole cloth, the legend of zelda mythos. fans who were around before it released don’t necessarily like where it wound up taking the series.
• the backstory to skyward sword itself is inconsistent and doesn’t really hold up to scrutiny.
• skyward sword essentially posits the hylians as a divinely-chosen, colonizing race, which has weird and sus ethno-nationalistic vibes if you actually take it seriously.
@packetcat @noracodes i think it’s been more a shift in perspective, honestly
like, apple has messed things up before. the original macOS was not good. leopard was not good. but they were professionals about it and said “you know what? next version, zero new features. we’re just fixing shit.” and they released snow leopard and it was the best desktop OS ever made. they understood that people depended on their software working and were willing to invest in dependability.
but recently, i don’t think apple does see themselves that way. i think they see themselves primarily as a luxury brand for rich executives who mostly just need a computer for zoom calls, or as a status symbol for people in the middle class to set themselves apart. i think there are arguments in favour for an annual release cycle; a lot of tech these days happens annually, notably Unicode, and it keeps web browsers current and enables things like Swift to evolve at a good pace. but their priorities are all wrong; they’re not treating it professionally anymore. they’re targeting people who don’t really need their product with flashy features instead of ensuring they have something stable and reliable for the people who do.
Administrator / Public Relations for GlitchCat. Not actually glitchy, nor a cat. I wrote the rules for this instance.
