@gergely the concern is more in the other direction: will you be signal-boosting good posts to shitty instances? you don't have to care TOO much about who you federate with, but you do want to at least keep an eye on who follows you.

the primary way you would be likely to signal-boost bad posts is through replies (assuming they aren't DMs), which will federate the original post alongside the reply to all of your followers.

@halcy it can be an activitystreams endpoint (manually fetchable by pasting post URLs into the search bar) but actually letting people follow and sending them posts (the -pub part) is necessarily dynamic
