“You can change your time zone by entering a nearby major city.”

@aescling is there not a "reindex elasticsearch" task or something idk

@aescling i know that's what you meant lol i was off on a tangent for some reason

for sunday’s felt pretty good

@aescling consider: ETHOS for one and NADIR for two

it's cute how buneary curls up both of its ears like ram’s horns before using headbutt

but it's an interesting shift in philosophy to a much much stronger nurture > nature perspective

Show thread

practically speaking this doesn't matter because the only time one would have maxed Effort Levels is in competitive play which already exists outside of the magic circle of lore

Show thread

like they should be different. they're different pokémon,

Show thread

from a gameplay perspective it’s a strict improvement and natures serve a pretty similar function from a lore perspective but it's weird to me for two pokémon with maxed levels to have the exact same stats

not sure how i feel about pokémon legends: arceus getting rid of IVs

@witchfynder_finder curse capitalism for massive deforestation and global warming and making me feel weird about setting things on fire

@witchfynder_finder if i was a human creature on a grey day i would want to make a great big bonfire and party

@witchfynder_finder humans are so incredibly not apex predators that we had to actively change nature in order to survive

like, foraging was too hard so we started planting seeds. digesting meat was too hard so we invented fire to help break it down for our delicate stomachs. hunting was too hard so we domesticated wolves to do it for us, then domesticated chickens so we wouldn't have to keep tracking them down.

real apex predator shit there

this morning’s album is “Untidy Soul” by Samm Henshaw
