I don't know if this bugs anyone else but I've seen a lot of posts lately (not on here ftr) of people complaining about capitalism by talking about how humans are Apex Predators

It's hard to properly explain what bugs me about them but I hate them so much

@witchfynder_finder humans are so incredibly not apex predators that we had to actively change nature in order to survive

like, foraging was too hard so we started planting seeds. digesting meat was too hard so we invented fire to help break it down for our delicate stomachs. hunting was too hard so we domesticated wolves to do it for us, then domesticated chickens so we wouldn't have to keep tracking them down.

real apex predator shit there

@Lady also like

When we were predators we were out tracking the same deer for 4 days until it was too tired to run anymore

That's not the kind of thing that makes your brain want to be lazy on a grey day

@witchfynder_finder if i was a human creature on a grey day i would want to make a great big bonfire and party

@witchfynder_finder curse capitalism for massive deforestation and global warming and making me feel weird about setting things on fire
