the rails documentation calls this “Ajax”, which is not a word somebody should use in 2021, or ever

the answer is yes, it just submits it using javascript [provided you don’t say otherwise]

@monorail in any case German law prohibits him from paying himself “extraordinarily high wages”, to the extent that donations to his patreon are considered payments to Mastodon gGmbH (which i think they are)

“federating” in only the loosest sense, as in we saw each other on the street one time

i can’t really ask questions like “how on earth are we federating with X instance” seeing as the answer is probably “somebody boosted your toot to there”
