mr. nathan j. robinson have you considered a materialist approach to praxis instead of one founded on idealism and public discourse; what are your thoughts about that

Show thread

mr. nathan j. robinson, you seem to be under the impression that people learn things by reading about them via free articles on the internet

mr. nathan j. robinson, might i propose that a better way of learning about things might be through the practice of participating in them in your home and place of work

nathan j. robinson huh? i have never heard of this man

the internet archive is really going with “it’s bad to restrict access to conspiracy theories” in 2021 huh

@Satsuma truly the typewriter jamming of the twenty-first century

@chemelia javascript but i can't explain why, just like i can't explain my arcane summoning rituals

really important that people find me posting about this art which isn’t even mine

Show thread

why would you hashtag art you didn’t make lol

@witchfynder_finder i’ve listened to podcasts which were interesting or useful but i feel like most people who make podcasts just make them to fill space instead of waiting and only publishing one when they have something interesting or useful and i don’t have the kind of time to like, deal with all that

@witchfynder_finder if i wanted to listen to someone telling me what they think for an hour i would just put on some seattle rap

i’ve had a headache all day today and hmmm
hmmmmmmmm
not a fan

@witchfynder_finder
why ✨do
they
🗯 think
writing 😀
like this
works❓

Lady boosted

u2764.com is no longer under construction and now hosts pretty much everything (other than fanfiction) i’ve written since the start of 2018

this could be construed as a hint regarding the final letter but there is no guarantee the crossword follows this rule

@witchfynder_finder @monorail you pick the letter corresponding to the shape generally

floppies and hard disks have straight edges (K) and CDs are round (C)

@witchfynder_finder i mean arguably the answer is “it is up to the speaker and audience” since the identity of a bunch of boards as “a ship”, much less “the same ship”, is a human construct

we say contemporary english is a different language from old english, for example, despite there being a continuum between them

but that distinction is arbitrary and human-created

« Dear Sir,

Though Unicode is a game changer in today’s cyberspace enabling thousands of language to interact electronically and in cyberspace, but a few language viz. Assamese (India) may still face some issues which may kindly be addressed… »

@witchfynder_finder i'm a lesbian so i might have a little bias but the fact that they felt a need to add him just tells me that it has huge sapphic energy otherwise

@witchfynder_finder on the other hand “WAKE ME UP INSIDE ☠️ (CAN’T WAKE UP)” is timeless

mostly because it is a better song

and i can’t get tired of laughing at that male vocalist

@noelle yeah i think the sticking point is just that English pronounces long U as “yew” and Americans like to drop the E in “-er”

it *should* be pronounced pū-er-rīl but when you drop that E you get pūr-rīl, which incidentally is pure-rile
