@Lady yeah it was surprisingly alright. i find his interviews a bit grating but i enjoyed it overall. also watched the following episode on government contracting and similarly enjoyed it
@aescling i’ll do it a bunch probably :)
@aescling sweet
javascript
@Lady i suppose that makes sense
@Lady nobody wants their posts to get a lot of notes on tumblr (clones). big downside of making tumblr clones
@Lady sololingo
security vulnerabilities
yo if y'all use Matrix with the Element client (or any other client implemented using the same libraries), y'all should update.
https://nebuchadnezzar-megolm.github.io/ and https://matrix.org/blog/2022/09/28/upgrade-now-to-address-encryption-vulns-in-matrix-sdks-and-clients describe some vulnerabilities that could be exploited by a malicious homeserver (some in the protocol itself, some just in Element) and the fixes (or, for the protocol issues that haven't yet been fixed, how users can mitigate them)
@aescling assuming HashMap, that shouldn't be the difference: its hash code includes both keys and values. Also put
calculates the hash of the key well before making any changes to the HashMap.
Tho it seems like whenever a resize triggers it will stack overflow for both the key and value cases for that reason.
also it would be impossible to reliably actually get a HashMap out of itself (since the hash it'll be stored under won't be true once it's stored).
when i try to read anti-oedipus i come away with a clearer idea of what they're trying to say than when i read wikipedia or some random blog trying to explain a three-act structure
@Lady i'm currently reading a Michael Moorcock novel that has a fair bit of kinky royal sex (involving AU Elizabeth I). though i assume he's not exactly a fan
@pan it is p common i think. though sometimes with connotations of being especially tired or sleepy beforehand?
