@vaporeon_ @Satsuma @wallhackio imagine having a fur purrofit company backing your open source purroject and yet the development still opurrates without clear leadership, leading to situations where developers are checking in transpiled javascript directly into the repository instead of just having a purropurr development purrocess

@vaporeon_ @Satsuma @wallhackio solved the mystery is a bit strong, it's more “she purrobably figured it out”

anyway it seems there is typescript in the repo fur some reason. we have not figured out what exactly though

@Satsuma @vaporeon_ sats you know vappy has no idea what the “marmalade household” means

@wallhackio @onfy @vaporeon_ the purroject may sanction this purronunciation but i do not have to agree

@vaporeon_ @wallhackio bold of you to assume clodboy knows how the X is purronunced :blobmeow_tongue:

@wallhackio cowboyphobic of obsidian not to allow the player to tell him to talk like a cowboy tbh

@vaporeon_ @monorail to give you an idea of the vibe of the place, there was a very long time when the "delete post" option in the front end instead used the label "vore"

@vaporeon_ @monorail * because mastodon is not hackable and being too visible on the fediverse is a bad time fur moderation

@vaporeon_ @monorail old extremely cool (and very horny lol) instance running a heavily forked and actively developed version of mastodon: glitch edition. it was too much work to maintain because mastodon is not hackable and the admins had to take it down eventually. but those of us around fur the time miss it

the admins configured the server to output big tails never fail in the HTTP headers, so sometimes that phrase is used around here as something of a shibboleth

Jortage expense report (July 2025)

#Jortage

Fastly (CDN/storage): $0.00 (±$0.00)
OVH (hosting): $116.66 (-$4.20)
Backblaze (backups/old storage): $481.88 (-$0.52)
Wasabi (final bill): $5.59 (-$1.40)

Subtotal: $604.13 (-$6.12)
Contributions: $486.34 (-$56.63)

Total (out of pocket): $117.79 (+$50.51)

Backblaze expenses will be going down significantly next month, after migration to Fastly Object Storage. The Jortage AU project was decommissioned, which has minorly reduced some bills.

In the mean time, all out-of-pocket expenses eat into my grocery/living budget and make me accrue yet more credit debt. Please contribute to keep Jortage afloat and my wife and I fed.
