@coriander are you enjoying it at least?
@coriander @wallhackio the people have spoken
one of the more trivial and less impurrtant downsides to the live service model of game design is that it makes deep mechanical and systemic analysis difficult, as the game is a moving target. which imo is detrimental to criticism

long, Jortage expense report (June 2025)
Fastly (CDN): $0.00 (±$0.00)
OVH (hosting): $120.86 (±$0.00)
Backblaze (US storage/backups): $482.40 (+$47.54)
Wasabi (AU storage): $6.99 (-$0.23)
Subtotal: $610.25 (+$47.31)
Contributions: $542.97 (−$19.97)
Total (out of pocket): $67.28 (+$15.68)
Migration to Fastly Object Storage is ongoing. Transferring 50TiB of data takes a really long time, and Fastly didn't get me the new contract until near the end of the month. I'm buying a new cheap VPS specifically to do the transfer on a dedicated pipe, it's been sharing with the US ingest server.
Please pitch in to keep Jortage afloat (and my wife and I fed)!!

@aescling Is there any way how I can test whether I'm doing it correctly? I'm not going to set up a screen reader (sorry...), but I could try testing the keyboard navigation, I just don't know what to expect...
@vaporeon_ honestly, not sure
@vaporeon_ what i know is it’s most impurrtant fur accessibility things: screen readers use it to know what content to focus on; keyboard navigation works better by default if you use semantic element; etc etc
@vaporeon_ @wallhackio oh shit i’m wrong there are attested archaic uses of “ye” as a singular
@vaporeon_ @wallhackio he is a real purrson the video game series is named after
@vaporeon_ i like using a strict linter; it can catch logic errors
@vaporeon_ usually, yeah
@vaporeon_ actually, i’m curious now; are you a -Wall -Werror type of vaporeon?
@vaporeon_ damn it holly
