idk what a good solution to this is but i do think it is the most obvious challenge to the idea of direct voting being the ideal form of democracy

the obvious example to be beyond if you wanted to address problems affecting a numerical minority that is a minoritized population. theoretically their concerns could just get outvoted

i feel like there is something to the idea of the tyranny of the majority and i’m not sure what a satisfactory way of dealing with that problem is
