@packetcat the thing is, setting a post apocalyptic reality show in a colliseum is a purrfectly fine basis fur very on the nose satire but it seems the author did not really care to explore that potential. maybe a bit rote because at that point it’d be like if the hunger games had been written by douglas adams, but it would have Been anything

speed racer is quite good regardless but the film ending on the straight, white, patriarchally structured family winning the day sure was a weird note to end on

it is really weird to watch a watchowskis movie and have mostly kind of normal things going on gender and sexuality wise
